12V/24Ah TRACER Lithium Lightweight LiFePO4 Golf trolley battery (36 hole)
This is a 12V/24Amp hour battery pack for golf trolleys (it says it is enough for a 36 hole course). It stores 288Wh of energy and it is stated to last for more than 1400 cycles. For those of you who are familiar, it uses Lithium-Iron-Phosphate chemistry cells rated each at 8Amp-hour so this particular one would be a 4S3P (4 in series, and 3 in parallel) arrangement.
This is very nicely engineered battery packs with voltage monitoring and overcurrent overtemperature and overcharge protection embedded in the electronics found inside the battery pack. The pack also has an isoprene cover. It also has a 4Amp smart charger (does the constant current -constant voltage charging needed by the battery). It also has a T-bar and Anderson connector i assume this is something standard in golf trolleys. This battery was bought some years ago for a project.
At that time we also bought a 16Ah battery and that one was disassembled and used for various tests but this one remained in the box. It was only charged once when it was received and still shows as full (see pic). It has never been used as you can see in the picture where i tried to show reflection of the surface that can clearly show no scratches/no scuffs. The charger was used a few times to charge some other 12V batteries; it is in full working order.
